Zevlor died during Act 1, He's alive again during Act 2???

For me, Zevlor died while defending the Grove, i even looted his corpse. Then in Act 2, several characters makes references to him being alive. therre's even a quest to save him during act 2. This was very strange. Anyone else experienced this?

This game is very good at respecting your choices, and the state of your world, so it's extra strange to see something like this happen. I've sent Larian a bug report, I would suggest you do the same so that they can more easily fix the issue.

I got this too. I decided to go back to emerald groove in order to check on his body and the quest to find Zevlor disappeared.

Ok so its only a journal interface bug because (spoiler free): i tryed to reach the point where you should find zevlor and hes not there while the quest still being in the journal.
-Update- leaving act 2 will automatically complete the quest with the quote: "we never found Zevlor".

Sorry mate : not only a journal issue. Got the same one, and Arabella's dead father clearly remembered being "betrayed" by Zevlor who run away in the Shadowlands...

Several characters makes references to Zevlor being alive, it's not just a journal issue.

Getting this too. Pretty annoying. Its the only bad dialogue in the game so far. I couldnt save him because he missed every attack in the fight and was completely useless, and EVERY goblin focused him and the Drow teleported to him and double crit him. Wcyd

Same here… a bit disappointed as well as by the “find Helsin” quest which has not been fixed since the Beta!
Amazing game but this broke a lot my immersion…

Same problem. I had one other like this - a dead character being counted as alive. I love this game and really hope this is patched...

I just killed him myself in the grove. He wouldn't piss off out from the grove, and instead drew his sword. His choice.

i killed him act 1 then again in act 2 and he still showed up in act 3 lol

got the quest too when he died in act1, but in place where you supposed to meet him (save Zevlor) he is not there so.. quest cant be completed anyway and will faill when entering act3
