Shovel (Quasit) won't progress dialogue

Summoned Shovel after having broken the magic mirror and it won't acknowledge that I've already gone past it. Every time I talk to it, it says "Go on. Mirror knows." and doesn't seem to be any way to get around it. Hoping that someone has had this issue or knows how to fix it, outside of going back several hours of progress.

I'm assuming you can't break the mirror to be able to continue that line. I have the same problem.

I never broke the Mirror but his dialog is currently stuck at something akin to "See? Shovel Knows!" every time I summoned him in Act I. I'm in Act III now and don't even bother anymore.

I come from the future to say this:
1. this bug has not been fixed
2. if you are a non-caster it locks up the dialogue so you cant get her permanent spell, however...if you can keep shovel alive long enough to get a level up; level into wizard (or another caster) and talk to her again - you'll get the spellshite line and keep the ritual cast so you can respec out of the spell class without losing her
3. the fix in step 2 will not fix her dialogue after that, she'll go back to saying "mirror knows"
