Glitch during Steal Githyanki Egg quest

So I can't seem to pick up the egg in the Gith hatchery. I killed the woman asking me to steal the egg but I convinced the Gith hatcher to let me take it. Did I break the quest?

move the egg away from the thing its on and then you can pick it up, its bugged but that works

Had this same bug, I swapped control over to Lae'zel and got the option to pick it up, might work with any party member not sure though

Same issue, but I found that moving the egg before picking it up allowed me to safely loot it.

I had this bug too. But i'm going to make it peacefully with dice. With other chars i must test it

A quicksave and reload did the trick for me. Loaded back in and it was in my inventory.

When i pick the egg up with the moving trick, the guy just say "are you going to pick the egg or no ????" like some new yorker, oh well, i hope i get the reward either way, i'm just sad i miss some dialogue xd

If you can’t throw the egg, you can’t pick it up, despite it saying it only weighs 1lb. Switch to a character that can throw it.

Freaking buggerfest.
Trying to throw egg out of acid will only result in combat. Only Lae'zel can pick up the stupid egg. Everyone else only has option to crush it

On top of that , there is a gas trap beneath the egg if you move the egg it will release gas. Even if u disarm the trap , cant move the egg without combat.

Thats the correct answer. Not sure if its a bug, but it worked for me. THanks
