RTX 2070 Super here...

My frame rate is atrocious. Stutters and sluggishness abound! All drivers etc up to date, and playing on DX11. Taking advice elsewhere I have tinkered with Nvidia settings yet the game is still running like ****.

I'm in the exact same boat rtx 2070 super and it's litterally unplayable. Stutters like crazy no matter if low quality of high quality

I have tried everything now. Same as you, lowering graphic settings the lot. It's still seriously janky. Cut scenes pop in and out really badly. The game freezes in places, and the frame rate dips into single figures. Also noticed texture pop in and Freezes when spells are cast. This game is far from optimised. No issue at all with the other Larian titles all run great on ultra.

I must also stress the game is installed on my SSD.

Problem is only a minority have this so maybe it's something to do with memory leaks or something dunno.....

Similar issue for me though a 2060 graphics card (which should still run it better than it does?)

I bumped my resolution down a few notches from default, put everything to low, and while it looks like garbage it runs at a doable frame rate. I'm hoping this will be resolved.

Did u try the Vulkan engine by starting the game via the Larian launcher? Works flawless for me, using a 2080 Super on Ultra.

bought this back when EA started and had same stuttering and low fps on medium graphic thought by now they would have improved it i was wrong even after i got 2060 16 g of ram and a new SSD it still plays like crap i wish i could get my money back

I also have a 2070 Super and what helped me was switching from borderless window to fullscreen in the video options menu. Try this, hope it helps some of you as well. I am running DLSS (Balanced) and have limited the framerate to 60 @1440p.

Change to Vulkan and it helps, but game looks little .. ugly?

1 : is the error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED

2: do you have the game installed on a SSD?

My 3070 work good. But Video card is overheating when i look on fog or smoke. This is on low settings

The game is installed on my SSD, There is no error message. And the RTX 2070 Super exceeds the recommended graphics card on the store page. Yet it runs like ****. Changing to Vulcan just makes it worse. No difference switching between fullscreen and borderless. One slight difference I have noticed is starting the game from the DX11 exe and skipping the launcher and Steam. This does improve things slightly.
