Halsin Won't Go to Priestess Gut in Her Private Quarters

My Main got branded by priestess Gut in the Shattered Sanctuary, then followed her dialog choices that got him imprisoned in her private quarters, which also moves her to those quarters. He escaped by himself through the spiders, without needing to kill Gut.

So later, after I've rescued Halsin, he's joined me to kill all the Goblin leaders, except he won't follow me back to do over the Priestess. When I click on the door to her quarters, which are still locked, Halsin interrupts with his "where are you going dialog". I tell him to wait there and the dialog ends.

He wants to kill Priestess Gut, so he shouldn't be balking at the door to her quarters.

He also shouldn't interrupt with that dialog if the door is locked and I don't have the key yet.

edit: I thought he'd also disappeared, but found he was actually stuck at the top of a ladder near the entrance
