throwing weapons and battle master manoeuvers

I dont know if this is intended or not, but none of the battle master manoeuvers seem to work with throwing weapons, even including precision attack (which states "next weapon attack"), cant find anything in the 5e player handbook that would indicate thrown weapons arent just normal weapon attacks for these things?
