[FIX for BUG] when have Shovel but does not dig

I collected all shovels with the main character, then split item separated and passed them around to other characters. Later a perception check found a dirt mound and every character with a shovel in their inventory said "I need a shovel".
The FIX for this is to drop the shovel on the ground out of your inventory, then pick the shovel back up and then they will dig out the dirt mound.

You can also right-click shovel in your inventory and select "Use" when near dirt mound.

thx, this stupid bug is ... it was not in EA, but it is in the full release... this game is full of bugs that did not exist in EA... or were fixed

I have another bug. There is a shovel, but the character says: "There is nothing interesting here." How to fix it?

i found one dirt pile in front of the toll house(the disguised flame fists hunting for kalarch). if you smash some barrels & boxes, a dirt mount can be found under their cover, but i found nothing i can do with that

They are not flame fists;)

Also if anyone has the bug where you seem to not be able to dig while having a shovel in inventory....drop the shovel and pick it up. It worked for me.

I am having this issue, but dropping it and picking it up isn't helping.

Same boat here. Picking up and dropping does not help unfortunately. Can’t dig up Brilgor’s corpse 😡

I have a shovel and can use the dig action on a dirt mound, in the battle log it shows "<your name> used dig on dirt mound" but nothing happens. Reloading doesn't seem to help, neither does dropping the shovel

The only other thing I can tell you is that if your survival check fails, just click the shovel icon in the bottom bar and guess at where the mound is hidden and you should easily start digging up the chest. I haven't had any future problems with shovels.

Shovel in every character's inventory, "I need a shovel, I'm not going to dig it with my bare hands"
Right click shovel in inventory, option to use greyed out
Double click shovel in inventory, "You can't use that here"

Dropping the shovel and picking it back up again worked for me

Im at the same stage! Did you find a solution? Cause dropping it and picking back up is not working for me 😩

Edit: found th issue! I had in my posession a 'small shovel' not a regular one. There is one literally next to the grave of brilgor.
