Tried every tip, trick and remedy...nothing...
-AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
-AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
-64gb RAM
Done nearly everything the laurien site says to trouble shoot.... nothing helps after that force reboot.
have rolled back drivers yet though,
Tried 524.48 + 536.40 - still the same issue, only experienced in BG3 though.
Ran Cyberpunk benchmarks on 536.40 and 536.67 runs totally fine: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZXeOnUijKxM-bHYSMRROjB0hjhmUwysX/view?usp=sharing
Can barely get above 70 fps in BG3
Drivers seem to be fine for some, so it must be some conflict between other software perhaps, but this is also happening for AMD setups :/
edit: I didn't read your post properly, could be a power issue? Disable native PCIE power management in BIOS. Make sure you have best performance set in windows power management (settings panel > search for power)
Thanks Creo, tried a few things.
Power draw capability seems fine and also the game runs well in the menu and character select, hitting about 160-200 FPS for example.
Once you load in, it drops to 60-70 even changing the res to 1280 x 720. I've set the app to high priority in windows, high power/perf mode and also turned ASPM off in the BIOS (it was auto) but not having issues on other games at all.
BG3 Menu = 400w power draw / 160-200fps now
BG3 in game = 120w power draw / 60-80fps regardless of settings mainly
Diablo 4 - High = 160-200 fps
Cyberpunk - High & RT on = 120+ fps
I also tried a fresh install and also used DISM to restore windows, but no issues there. Closed all other applications and software, iCue. MSI afterburner etc. No Steam overlay, also no GeForce Experience installed.
Seems as though I'll just have to play at 60fps or so for now, bloody nightmare. haha
Same here 5900X/7900XTX game was crashing every minute in Grymforge (but not elsewhere)
Solved it using a post here ysterday (can't find it...) saying you just need to reduce max GPU clock in Adrenalin, put my card at max 2000MHz then 0 crashes !!!
