Character Portraits Background Black.
I Just wanted to report a bug that I discovered. After leveling up the background of my character and companions went black. Its nothing game breaking but it is definitely immersion breaking as after Shadowheart's portrait background went black her hair became a florescent purple in the portrait. Anyone know how to fix this? I have tried reloading a older save and the game as whole but it continues to happen when my characters first level up.

The portraits of two of my companions (Shadowheart and Gale) went full black (solid black box, no image) after leveling up to level 3. Tried to load a previous save, tried quiting the game, tried switching DX11 to Vulkan... nothing worked.

Just Use respec from undead on the background bugged character and choose the same class.
Or try to use Masking on the character that has a background bug.

I can suggest these two steps:

1. Go to camp
2. Change character appearance with the magic mirror and confirm changes

Any minor change works, and after that you may change appearance again back to normal.

This makes the character icon to refresh thus removing any bugs within it. It worked for me when my main character got a black background bug after leveling up.

To anyone who finds this issue. The bug exists when you level up a character in a dark area for whatever reason.

You can respec the character with Withers, or wait until your next level and before you apply it, be in camp or a nicely lit area.
