Multiclassing level up bug

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has come across this issue where you can only level up a class but not the other, going from character level 2 to 3. I have a 1 ranger/1 rogue and have enough EXP to go to level 3. However, I was unable to level up the ranger as apparently there were "choices pending". I have made all the choices, ie the spells and fighting style and it's all ticked. If I were to go to the rogue, then it would let me level up and proceed.

Any ideas?

I have the same issue and have been looking around for solutions but have yet to find any.
I'm playing a ranger 1/fighter 1 and want to level up the ranger to level 2 - but can only do it with the fighter - perhaps they lock leveling up the "old" class?

Not a solution perse, but you can use this cheat engine to respec if your leveling has bugged on you. Avoid the temptation to use the other cheats as they may break your game. I can vouch for the respec though.

Yes having this issue as well, 1st ranger, 2nd rogue, cant choose ranger again for 3rd

I experienced the same issue when respec'ing with Withers at camp. I was able to work around the issue by changing the order of leveling by starting with rogue and then taking two levels of Ranger. When doing this, I noticed that at level two Ranger in taking the Keeper of the Veil, I was suppose to get proficiency arcana and nature, but was only able to choose one, choosing nature.

Use the class reset for 100 coins on the dead monk. This is how I solved my problem.As a temporary option - why not.

I found a similar problem with my ranger 1/rogue 1 character. I was stuck on "Choices Pending!" and could not level up my ranger to level 2 once I hit level 3. I discovered it was the spell choices that messed things up, only a combination of the last three spells on the selection (longstrider, jump and speak with animals) will allow me to level up my ranger. Since I started as a ranger, I went and reset my character at the monk to bypass the problem. Basically, respec and take my two levels of ranger before multiclassing into rogue. The end result is that now i have what i want. If you started as a rogue however, I do not know if this will work for you.

I'm having the exact same problem. Ranger 1 rogue 1 can't level up ranger again because "choices pending" won't go away. If I choose a combo of the last 3 spells then I can but I want the other spell options.

Glad I'm not the only one with this. Thankfully I'm level 4 so I'll just respec to ranger 2 then continue with rogue. Thanks for the info

Having exactly the same issue, I've reported it and provided a save file. I strongly encourage others to do the same.
