Bug: Wrong Inspirational Event
I just got a notification saying that I did an action that aligns with my character's origin, but the action that it lists has nothing to do with what I just did. It says something about "Leave the pinned Benryn to burn," but I haven't met Benryn, and I haven't even left the first area after the crash.

I'm guessing that's supposed to be a different action? I hope that that quest didn't just get bugged.

I know this is a lot later in a reply, but I think Benryn is the guy in Waukeen's Rest. He's trapped under wood that you need to help him get out of on the second floor of the mansion in that place.

Yes. And this is a short timed quest. Meaning if you leave the area, fast travel to your camp, the quest fails. It is a miniquest series.

When you reach waukeen's rest and the fire loads in, you have to continue and do the important quest, and if you want Benryn's quest as well. However if you LEAVE or fast travel to camp, Benryn dies.

It is not a bug, it works as intended. NPC died because party thought there are more important things to do than saving a guy under some rubble in a room which is on fire;)

No, I'm aware of how quickly you have to save him. What I'm saying is that before I even left the crash area, when I squished the weakened mind flayer's head, I got that inspiration.
