Why does it still say "Early Access"?

I bought the game after 11 AM EDT today to get the full game, not just the early access, but it says "Early Access" in the top corner during the dialogue scenes. I don't see any updates to download. Also, I finished the prologue and didn't get the "Descent from Avernus" achievement — is that related, or a separate problem?

Are you playing on mac if you are sorry to disappoint you but the game will be released only in August (

Yeah, I'm on Mac. Today is August 3 — Steam and all the listings I could find online said that it was going to be released for PC and Mac on August 3 — today. It looks like you were about to tell me when it's actually going to be released for Mac, but you can see where, on its own, "will be released only in August" is a bit perplexing to read on August 3.

Right now, the only information I can find from Steam or Larian Studios about the Mac release is that it's already out....

Yeah steam definitely has misleading information. Can't say how disappointed i was after waiting for 4 am to download the full game. and releasing it just downloaded the same early acess buld. then i read Larian launch post and it says that they moved mac release date to 6 september :(

Yeah, I'm disappointed that I only see that this is early access after buying it. I did get a refund from Steam. (If I wanted early access, I would have done it a year or more ago.) It's disappointing that Steam still hasn't done anything on the store page to bring this to people's attention.

I'm having the same problem as a Mac user. Bought the game for the first time today at 9am PST and I'm still seeing that options are locked in the game because it's in "early access".

It says in the FAQ very clearly sadly:
'It is important to note that the full release version of the game is only available for the PC and will not be available for Mac at this time.'

I too am shocked and disappointed its not launching at the same time. I even deleted all my EA saves and cloud saves thinking I needed to. Guess we are stuck until the Mac client is released.

I did eventually find that in the FAQ, after a few hours of looking. It's somewhat less well-advertised than the giant splash ad when I start Steam, the Mac logo displayed prominently on the store page, and all of the articles from gaming news sites that Google served up when I searched for the Mac release date that proclaimed quite explicitly that it would be available at 11 AM on August 3 for PC and Mac.

But, I suppose, having now paid full price, I will be able to download the full game whenever it's actually released, right?
