HDR problem
Has anyone had a problem activating HDR? It won't work in either Vulkan or DX11 versions. I have it enabled in Win 10 and in every other game it works fine. It even worked in early access but as soon as I installed the full version it just broke. The colors are washed out. If I alt+tab while in windowed mode it fixes itself while the taskbar is showing but as soon as I click back into the game the problem reappears.

Change from full screen to borderless windowed
For me it was the opposite. I had HDR in the menu but when I started my game it had changed from fullscreen to borderless and that had broken HDR, turning it back fixed it.

Tried it already. It doesn't work.

HDR seems to work fine for me until I change certain video options (resolution, window/fullscreen, etc). If I change options too much the HDR either goes wonky (has a green washed out tint) or will switch off together (you can tell because HDR options vanish & turn to gamma instead).

I get this issue now, but that's because I went from my Sony A90K to a AW3423DWF

I think that I found a solution for this. This worked for me: Find the BG3 exe and right click on it, go into properties, then compatibility and tick the "Use legacy display ICC color management". This will allow the app enable HDR. Haven't had any problems since I did this. Hope this helps.

Oh no! This was the only thing that worked for me. Maybe you can look into it and try to find out why you don't have it? It's right under "Register this program for restart" for me. Maybe there is a way to get it to show. I'm also on Windows 11.

I did remember about the color management settings i was just in there changed my default to a fresh profile, but yeah im windows 10 so that may be why i dont have it possibly, still only looks good when i am focused out of the game lol

Thanks a ton, this worked for me (also on Win 11).

I've been pulling my hair trying to fix this for days, you're a savior.
Now do do some color-calibrating and we're off

it worked for me just now as well! i can't actually update my monitor (lg-27GR95QE-B) firmware since it's already on the latest and your fix was the only one that worked.

That's great to hear! Spread the word if you run into someone with the same problem!
