Fire dipped weapons don't light oil surfaces, but unlit candles do
We tried throwing fire dipped torches and weapons into oil and grease surfaces. Not big booms. Instead my friend threw candle straight from inventory into oiled ground - it exploded.

We hope some consistency with our improvised fire starters in the future

Did manage to throwing your torch on oil puddle and light it up? We were middle of combat so I just tried to equip + dip into fiery surface + threw it away. Not sure how torches work here - I lost my only torch that way. lol

well, i think i used drop first then just moved it like you would move any crate. that way you only use the bonus action at max... if you didn't light it before

So you moved lighted torch, that's interesting. Seem like we need to look into it more ourselves. Thanks for sharing
