All the candles go out.
All the candelabrums go out after the button is pushed in the Temple Ruins. Easy enough to go around but didn't notice until i decided to dip my sword in fire and it was out.

I just did this temple scene yesterday and it stayed lit for me. So the question I have is if this happened every time for you or just this once? I am trying to think of a contributing factor if it is inconsistent.

Side note:
I never liked the idea that you can stick a metal sword in a fire and it catches fire immediately. You should have to spend an action to coat your sword with oil and have oil in your inventory.

Four times so far I even dropped a candle from my inventory at the base of the stairs, lit it, then pressed the button. It was actually gone.

Is this the button that shut down all the traps already triggered?

I didn't noticed the behavior, but I find it as a nice trick because let any fire in the room can lead to sort of instadeath. I mean for a first play and you wonder what is happening when you trigger the traps.

So I would argue to live with it, it's not a bug but a hint design.

I think the OP was talking about the hidden temple where you fight all the skeletons. The room is dark with candles, candelabrum, and a fire pit stand. You can light the fire pit to see and light your weapon in it to fight the skeletons.

The button is in the back that opens the secret room with the crypt in it. This is where you meet the skeleton that will go to your camp and rez your fallen party members.

At least I think that is where they meant. Due to the comment about lighting his sword.

I tried it with a different party last night and nothing went out for me again. So I am not sure what issue he is having. I cant repeat it.

That's your interpretation but as you can(t repeat the OP problem, the interpretation could be wrong and you tested the wrong button. For both buttons I noticed nothing, at next play start I try check both.

Ok so Streeja had identified the right button, and I thought of the wrong button. I see no justification to have this button shut off all lights.

Final fight is a bizarre naming, it closes the quest? Because there's multiply way to manage the Church and this can be one of the first fight if not the first.

Mmm, and do you know all entrances to the Temple? At least 3 different or 4 I don't remind. So one of those entrances lead directly to the area with the scribes without any combat before.

But ok, it's the button that open access to the room to the tomb where there's a skeleton/undead/lich (not clear for me) that will join at camp to allow resurrect for a gold price.

That's this button?

Had nothing to do with entrances. Nada. Candles & a button. Just so we're clear.

Ok I thought it as a question related to my own question about final combat.

Yeah it's clear, at next play start I'll give a check.
