Black screen bug in multiplayer

This happens very often, I think I've had it about 5 times now, and critical bug at that too.

Say another player has a conversation, and you try to listen in, and they end the conversation at a bad time.
Now you're stuck in black screen and the game thinks you're forever in a conversation.

You can get out of the black screen by having another person kill your character and reviving, but the game still thinks you're in conversation and won't let you save. This persists even after loading another save.

The only way I've found to get rid of this bug is to completely turn it off and on again.


Addtional note: If you take action while saving is in progress(Hide for example) you get stuck in the saving overlay. This also persists after reload. It even carries over to main menu. You can't press anything in the main menu. Only solution is turning the game off and on.
