Thrumbo is dead. omgg

This quest is so buggy! Spoiler alert*

Once you met mystic carrion, He'll ask u to find thrumbo and kill him. Or u can side w/ thrumbo. The thing is, If u speaked w/ thrumbo after getting the quest to kill him, U should not go back to MC because he'll know, He can smell that you speaked w/ thrumbo. I got in trouble because I got all his other parts, except for the heart. And I went to his lair so many times but even the book that tells me where to find the last part ( heart) wouldn't update my quest! So I ignored it for awhile. But I spoke w/ carrion as I was doing another quest related to him, and he picked up the scent of thrumbo and we had to fight him. I went back to thrumbo after reading the book that tells me i have to get the heart, but all he says is that I have to really kill MC. But i can't cuz im stuck the quest wouldn't update. I did other quest, thrumbo is still alive I keep checking on him, I even slept and came back and he is still alive, but when I went back to the place where carrion lives he is alive, and Under his base i found his heart and the dead zombies, i came back to thrumbo and he is dead. It's so weird... im sad cuz Im far theres no way for me to reload this as i already did some other quests before this. It's so messed up! So buggy and it wasnt even my fault.
