Halsin not having option to join party? Am I missing something? (spoilers?)

Good day all. First, spoilers is in ? Because I might say something somebody else doesnt know. But I also want to avoid spoilers, so if I am missing something, please be ambiguous in answer. Just enough to know 'keep playing'

A bit of a stumper here. Not sure if missing something or how this works. But got Halsin out of gobbos. Talked to everybody and had the little party. Discussed with him about needing to go with the party to Moonrise.

My main concern is if something is broken, that it will affect Moonrise.

Here is where I am wondering if something is broken. I did a test where I left the camp, and he didn't accompany me. I Should I be able to invite him or does he accompany me when I hit the area. Still low level, mostly main quest stuff so lots to find and explore if am missing something.

Halsin won't be available as a Party member until the end of Act 2, same with Jaehira. However, Halsin should follow your camp after Act 1 if your helped him with golbins and asked him to accompany you.
