Baldurs Gate 3 Attack on Moonrise Towers
Guys...this fight is nearly impossible oO im so frustrated. HOW??? I´m already on noob difficulty and i can´t stand all this enemys.

I mean the big fight in the lobby with Jaheira and her harpner friends against Zrell.

Are there some tricks? I tried everything, every companion.I dont know, which armour i should have at this point of the game. I never had much gold to buy good stuff. Everyone can only wear middle or light armour.

Im about to throw it out of the window ^^` and then this spell hunger of hadar. How can i defeat this spell? My chars are lvl 6 now. I tried the front door, side door...

Pleaaaase help @,@

misty step archers up to the rafters, spam fireball at the crowds, lure enemies into a bottleneck, throw oil barrels. you should be level 7/8 maybe load an earlier save and do more sidequests?
The choke point is kinda a pain at your level. And even if you do somehow beat it, the boss fight later on will decimate you. Do the underdark & mountain pass region quests before moving on.

You can try skipping the fight at the front by climbing up the vines and jumping on the platform to enter the tower upper floors on the left side of the tower entrance. You might need to save scum to unlock the door which has a check for 20 if I remember right. You can try going back down from the top and give the enemy a pincer attack.

I found this fight relatively easy since you have a lot of support. I almost only fired AoE from the back.

Lvl 6??? What did u do all this time? I play with good party(tav warlock, Karlah, Astarion and Shadowheart). On this point I was 10lvl. Keterik is really tough and he is 11lvl. U are too hurry...

You can avoid this batle. Instead of entering through the main door, you can take a detour around the side of the castle, where there are hardly any enemies.

how the hell were you level 10 by this point, I did literally everything in the game up to this point as far as I’m aware with the same group throughout and I could only reach level 8

haven't got a lvl 10 before that fight, but almost reached 9. Still pretty much average battle on Tactician. But with lvl 6 - I don't see how you can handle it. Overall hits and tips: visit moonrise towers before fight - save refugees, while doing so you can kill some zealots or/and The Warden w/o making whole tower hostile. You may also convert some allies inside the tower (Timothy, Barnabus and Tornelia ain't strongest creatures but they may distract a bunch of cultists) and by doing that u will get rid of other one "true soul", who was controlling these gnolls previously. Also you may have an opportunity to make a first strike with big AOE like Ice Storm to initiate the fight. And just use aoe scrolls (Cloudkill is good), also void bulbs are good vs arches on top.

edited: gnolls were the only allies who won't make through the battle, RIP Timothy, Barnabus and Tornelia.

I have now tried and lost 8 times and have given up.
I'm at lvl7, maybe I will go back and do the mountain pass as someone suggested to level up.
How did you get past this point ?

I was level 7 when I started this battle, it took me a while to beat, but what I found was really helpful was being able to move the other party members around while one of them is in conversation. I split my party and used misty step as Gale to get him up to the rafters which then started him in conversation. This then meant I could move the other 3 characters around to anywhere I wanted without having to worry about sneaking. I put Wyll up on the rafters too in stealth mode just out of sight, Lae'zel crouching behind the half-orc armourer and my main and Jaheira near the ladders on the left hand side.

Grab a bunch of Wall of Stone and Wall of Fire spells and go up on rafters and have fun locking them in the stone and trapped in fire. This spell draws in a line so you can draw it right over all of them. The more the merrier. It really slows them down and puts a hurtin on them. . if you do it right and that is your in to a win.

Oh yeah don't go into the main door. Use any jump spells and go up on side of main entrance. You can also take out smaller groups up top before the big battle down at entrance.

I always eliminate the moonrise goons prior to entering the gauntlet of shar, just with my party alone. Infact its much easier as the whole castle wont agro all at once.

The joys of icestorm to make enemies fall flat as you destroy them from range. And thats on tactical.

Managed to beat it easier on my second playthrough, I've been saving explosive barrels when I find them, so I just engaged in conversation with my main character and placed some barrels around the main group of enemies in the centre with my other characters and then got them in their positions and one fireball pretty much wiped out everyone in the centre.

There is apparently a small trick you can do here that I just discovered.
In my current Tactical playthrough, I have Jaheira but not her Harpers as Isobel got mobbed and taken during that fight and so Last Light fell.
Now, in my 4th attempt to storm Moonrise AND keep Jaheira alive, I decided to try something a little different. Party is me as a Armorer Artificer, Karlach (Wild Magic Barbarian/Spore Druid 6/3), Shadowhart (Tempest Cleric with a Throw build), and Astarian (Shadow Monk/Assassin 6/3).
First, as soon as I got Jaheira to join me I short rested; because without her Harpers, she'd already spent her Wild Shape charges and 4th level spell slots. Then, I decided to stop just inside the doors (before triggering the dialogue with Z'rell), and snipe folks. Multi-target arrrows, thrown bombs/grenades, even a Fireball scroll. And they just stood around taking it while I killed about 1/3 of them. Initiative finally started when I got too far down the stairs trying to shoot a guy on the rafters, but it made controlling the scene (and keeping Jaheira alive) so much easier.
I'd be willing to bet this is an unexpected exploit on Larian's part, and will probably get fixed in a Hot Patch...but for now, it makes the difficult fight much easier.

Much easier to just clean out Moonrise pre gauntlet of shar, the whole place doesnt agro when you start fighting.
