Help Recruiting Jaheira

She keeps leaving after we kill Ketheric and telling me that I did something wrong. I don't know what I was supposed to do. I freed nightsong and I tried doing it once without persuading ketheric to off himself but she didn't care. I freed Zevlor and Mizora. Is there something specific I have to do to stop her from leaving??? Help plz

Did you bring her up with you to the battle? And after Ketheric was defeated for the first time on top of the tower, did you speak with her then? I think these two are things you have to do.

I'm having this problem too, no idea what happened. It's always after the conversation with your guardian for me.

Found an answer, here's what I posted in the discord.

I read a few people having this issue in this channel and I had the same but I found a horrible work-around for those who care to hear it. Act 2 spoilers ahead with Jaheira if she's leaving your party after a certain boss fight.

If Jaheira is leaving after your battle with Ketheric Thorm (specifically after the conversation with the Aasimar) I had to use Cheat Engine to get it to work with the provided cheat table. Under console commands you can increase the approval value, however increasing it prior to the conversation won't work. So here are the steps.

Have Jaheira turn into a Panther or move her far away from Tav (so she can't initiate conversation, however you do it)
Complete the dialogue with the Aasimar after looting the body.
Use the cheat engine to up Jaheria's approval
Go through the portal and unshapeshift her to confirm it's working.


Any questions about this feel free to DM me because I've been stuck on this a while. I'd accept it if I had any idea why Jaheira leaves but it seems like a bug.

It really does seem like a bug :( I've been doing a very good play through so I' don't know what I could have done to make her disapprove of me..

I did, she leaves right after killing ketheric she says like "perhaps i was too hasty to pick up my sword and fight for you" and then she leaves

I'd love to recruit her for 2nd fight, but I have full party and game does not allow me to remove anyone at that point :D so I guess I will never have a pleasure of getting her in my ranks.
