Help with Priestess Gut
Hi, could anyone help? I didn't kill Priestess Gut when I had the chance, but I did go on to kill the Drow and Ragzlin. Now, the whole camp is aggroed against me and it's proving very difficult to kill Gut and successfully complete the quest to get rid of the three Goblin leaders. Is there anything can do or do I have to go forward without completing that quest? Thanks...

You can jump down to the Spider pit while having a Speak with Animals and convince them to attack the goblins. Or, if you do not have a speak with animals; there is a lever you can just shoot from on top of the pit that opens the gate. They'll aggro and fight everyone, including you, but if you just wait out the combat, they will take out a lot of the small fry goblins.

Thanks for the answer, that's useful. I can't get into the camp though without being attacked by everyone...

You can get into the camp from the Underdark. A method into the Underdark is to go through the Zhentarim Hideout in Waukeen's Rest. If you go from there, just travel straight from the jump off point (should be facing two Minotaurs) and you'll come across a castle gate.

You'll need to be quick. Have one character jump off the bridge to the gate to the ledge on the left. You can enter the castle from a broken window and within the castle, well, fort, is a waypoint. Port everyone else in. At the back of the castle is a ladder that leads up to Priestess Gut's bedroom. From her bedroom the goblins cannot aggro you because they can't see from there. You can then sneak from there to the spiders.

gut is the weakest of the 3. Why is she being difficult? Don't let her cast anything, though I think all she has that is dangerous is hold person.

Depending on your ranged and spell capacity, you may try climbing up high (if nothing else, outside the camp party, go up where the drunks are, and bust in the wall) and creeping along the rafters, then shooting them. If you have a thrower, the gravity damage and ring etc on the returning pike could even 1 shot her, and if not, she will be a hit or two short of death right off. The rest of them are just trash, only like 1 has more than 20 health.
There is also a statue you can knock onto them, but she will do it too if you are in the wrong place. Coming in from volo's prison / the torture area is also decent, the stairs and columns make choke points and its pretty easy to take them one by one as they come.

look to what you have left in your bags too. now may be the time for a fire arrow or grenade or scroll.

If you brought the bear along, let him tank and lead the way.

If you didn't clear the camp outside, you may want to do that. You can jump from the windmill (featherfall scroll) and come in from up high. Only the ogre is dangerous, and if you come in high it can't do much.

She has the most help and since the entire encampment is hostile, they cannot get her alone to kill her or funnel the other gobbos into her chambers.

Ah. Did you somehow kill mith & DR without whacking all the guards in their rooms and around the torture area? I can see how pulling all that at once would be a pile. In that case any way you can control a room and get them to come through a doorway is gonna be useful. But the rafters are good too, between throwing guys off and the limited access. Just don't get thrown off in turn.

The issue is that it sounds like OP left the Temple in full and is having issues not only getting past all of Gut's guards, but the guards out front of the Temple. If they cannot get through that, best bet is the method through the Underdark I outlined above 'cause there is few fights, and definitely fewer numbers in what fights they'd have to handle.

They can push from the backlines in the Temple once they get inside from the Underdark.

yea that or topside, jumping from the windmill with featherfall puts you up top, kill any drunks and bust out the wall, back in the main room where gut has her branding iron.
Thanks to everyone for advice. The door from the Zhentarim hideout was no use as it doesn't open for me from the caves side. In the end, I went in hard through the front door and killed every one of them. Sorted lol..
