Quick question abt the Cazador fight
Is it a "kill-all-the-enemies-to-end-it" fight or a "focus-on-the-big-guy-to-progress" fight??? His army of minions keeps giving me trouble, even after I free Astarion and cast Turn Undead. Focusing just on him might make things easier on me, but I don't wanna go to all that effort first if the game expects me to wipe everyone else too. (The bats.... they just don't stop.........)

Kill all enemies to end the fight.

There is various options in dealing with Cazador. You can cast Daylight on someone's weapon and have them hound Cazador. Shuts off his ability to turn into bats and flee, makes him take Radiant damage every turn, and he has Disadvantage on all his Attack Rolls and Ability Checks.

Another option is to bring a Wildheart Barbarian equipped with a Halbred/Spear/Pike who has picked up Tiger Heart and Wolverine Aspect which causes Maim on bleeding a target. Maim Cazador then cast Darkness on top of him. He will become entirely useless. The Barbarian just stays on Cazadar maiming him every turn while everyone else deals with the rest of the fight.

These are just two easy tactics. So many more.

I recommend the slightly unconventional approach of
1) cast daylight. Its almost required, honestly, else caz will be unhittable a LOT of the time.
2) kill that @#$% skeleton, chatterteeth right off. His eyebite spell is dangerous.
3) free asterion & focus fire caz
4) clean up the riff-raff

side note, stuff like bats can be twoferd if you have a str throwing character. Throw one bat into another, and both should die if you have the 2d4 item bonuses + tavern brawler. Honestly though its irrelevant... the fight is designed for you to run for asterion, kiting all the idiots behind, where they are perfectly arranged for a tier 6 fireball and that is pretty much the end of them.

Only the boss drops anything. That makes it mighty tempting to telekenesis or thunderwave some of the trash off into space.

Thanks y'all! I have thankfully been casting daylight, so Caz himself is just annoying at worst, but the zombies and skeleton with their debilitating attacks set me up for massive damage. Maybe I'll pay old man Withers a visit and try the builds that were mentioned.

These types of games are new to me, and there's so many details to keep track of that I easily miss obvious solutions to thing sometimes. But I will learn! One day! I will be good at the game!!! XD

You can also stand in front of the sacrifices(there is a circle or something in front of each if i remember correctly) or have your summons stand there to negate the buffs Cazador gets from the ritual
