Having trouble triggering the Bite scene for Astarion? I got you.

I believe after your 3rd or 2nd time doing a long rest in camp you'll see Astarion sneaking off into the woods.

When you set out again there will be this "drained pig" which can show up on:
- the bridge to the BLIGHTED VILLAGE
- The path way down to the Sunlit wetlands
- Close by waukeens rest

The pig doesn't despawn and is pretty hard to miss. When you see it interact with it and let the cut scene play out.

With this condition met you'll be able to experience the bite scene after seeing the devil. You might have some troubles so try clearing the camp event queue by taking a lot of long rests.

From there the scene should play out.

Tip. I'd say wait to talk to the monster hunter close to the auntie ethles house till after the bite scene if you want to gain approval for Astarion.

How does this work when you are starting as Astarion? I didn't start with bite on the ship and didn't get it when the ship crashed.

Yes it does. You'll just won't get an additional option within the dialog, something like 'We've even found the boar you'd snacked on'.

Never gotten it:)

But i did not rest at all until the game told me to rest(else i could not continue).
Was hillarious when i was told about the underdark by Halsim and i already have done everything there:D I had to take like 3-4 long rests in a row to be able to advance the game, as there are "main cutscenes" that cannot happen at the same time.

I also had an issue that Raphael did not appear after doing the quest for him (Yurgir). So i took Astarion with me completely for nothing. So for me Astarions whole questline was actually broken from the start:D
Interestingly enough this way he was a lot more tolerable char than he was in EA.

If Astarion outright tells you he's a vampire, you cannot trigger the bite scene and will not be able to get bitten by him.
