Scrying Eye. How to kill or make it your b****

It takes considerable damage for them to be killed, however they're vulnerable to thunder damage.

To one-shot any scrying eye you need a mage or a scroll of thunderwave and cast it on the eye.
However due to scrying eye having high damage threshold to be killed, being 8 damage subtracted from entire damage received you really need to output maximum damage of 2nd or 3rd level spell.
And for that it is useful to have cleric with Tempest Domain who can amplify any thunder/lightning damage to the max.

For those who don't have tempest domain cleric, and you had tried thunderwave and ehmmm it didn't kill the eye right away and you found yourself in a sticky situation cause the scrying eye may or may not (depending on location scrying eye observes) start calling for backup and to make matters worse bypassing NPCs found you trying to kill eye somewhat not friendly and joined the party.

Now the situation is so much worse - you need to shut up the scrying eye but while you're busy doing that the NPC starts menacingly look at your DDs. And you spend precious actions trying to kill bypasser but if attention isn't paid to the eye - it will start alarming entire location.

The answer to all this is quite easy - scrying eye is very easy to give orders to using Command spell. You still may want to use command by mage with relatively high spell DC but in my experience - it's not a problem to command scrying eye. With that you can spend available actions to eliminate the witness while having scrying eye silent. And get rid of it in next rounds

If you re talking of the eye you need to kill sneaky in underdark near the forge. The easiest way is to push it from the cliff to lava. (There is a suitable place at the hall where gnomes work trying to release Nere. A small island with the broken statue. Come there and wait, the eye will come to see what you re doing there. Then choose Karlach or any person with high strength and push it out of cliff).
In moonrise towers prison i took them out from stealth by my ranger (Titan string bow + stool leg and 3 attacks give them no chances).

chromatic orb: thunder works a lot better than thunderwave and usually 1 shots the eye and can be done from distance.

Astarion from stealth and sneak attacking it
I've also used the tiny flask smokepowder I get from the gnome once

Fun fact: if you fight alongside Nere vs. everybody else, the eye is hostile against you
