Rogue Shortsword/Dagger Question
What is the point of dual-wielding Daggers or rather should you even do it? Because a friend of me told me to, but i see no point in dual wielding two daggers, if u can reach higher dmg numbers with shortswords and even have an action more

You might aswell use two short swords, the reason you want to dual wield as a rogue in the first place, is to give yourself two chances to connect a hit and inflict sneak attack damage (you can only do it once per turn, however)
Your off-hand weapon needs to be "light" in order to dual wield without feats.

I don't think daggers have any special properties except maybe being able to be thrown slightly further

Daggers can be thrown for actual damage, Shortswords are thrown as "Objects", so they only deal small amounts of damage.

Daggers also OFTEN come with abilities that are for stealthy characters, like poison or silence. Shortswords can come with "Rogue" abilities as well, but often come with more generalized abilities.

Shortswords also only do, on average, 1 more damage. So just use whatever is best

no reason to use daggers, only reason rogues use shortswords is often used because they don't have proficiency for the other finesse weapons.
What's funny is there are 2 longswords and a glaive with the finesse tag that you can sneak attack with.
