Summon Familiar Options a Little Confusing, Can a Veteran Wizard/Warlock/Ranger Answer?
Hello, I'm seeing some conflicting information online about how summoning familiars works. Some people say you can only summon Quasit/Imp with Warlock, some are saying that if you play as a Wizard you can summon a quasit but not an imp, and some are saying with like a Ranger with a feat as beginner Wizard or warlock you can get the summon familiar spell to summon a quasit or imp.

Can someone who has gotten this far actually tell me the correct answer? What classes can summon imps and quasits?

If you want Imps and Quasits you want a Warlock. There is a way to get a Quasit for your Wizard through a spell scroll in Act 1 but its in a specific location and a specific Quasit.

Now, I believe people are right about the feat. If you select the one that gives you Warlock spells and pick find familiar, its as if you were a warlock casting it if that makes sense. That can be done for any class though

That ability to summon an imp or Quasit is not given by the warlock casting find familiar, but through pact of the chain, so picking that feat should only give you the standard find familiar spell
Get Shovel, have a spell caster level, cast the scroll (dont scribe it) talk to him and he will teach you to summon him, it becomes an "common" ability and you can respec out of spellcaster and still summon him, like you can summon the dog.
