What is the point of 'Shapeshift'
This game being essentially D&D in a videogame form I tried to approach it in just that manner. I try to solve things with charisma, tricks, and utter nonsense that always works because of a good roll.

I equipped my warlock with the 'shapeshift' ability to be able to use a disguise. I successfully infiltrated a place by changing my race. That was great. Then I needed to kill an enemy in a highly populated area. As I am on my own (using a teleporation ability to access the area) I stand little chance in a fight.

I place barrels of flammable, explosive liquid beside the enemy and from a place out of sight I strike them with a fire spell. The enemy dies. Yet, for some reason, even when I succeed at the stealth check I enter combat instantly.

Seems the check doesn't work as well as intended but it does from a different elevated location so I resolved that issue by just striking from further away.

Yet I am now faced with another problem. To do this evil deed of murder, I shapeshifted into a human so that there can be no suspicion of a drow committing the act. After I manage to kill the enemy I move far away so that I am not seen and then I shapeshift back to my drow disguise.

Yet for some reason even though I do all that and approach 'enemies' in another location it instantly triggers combat. These same enemies perceived me as friendly because of my disguise.

Essentially I don't understand what is the damn point of being able to shapeshift into different races when this very basic D&D reality (lying to people and being able to talk to almost anyone) just goes out the window.

I've encountered quite a lot of bugs playing in this way making the game feel unfinished. Maybe the initial September release would have been better.
