Is clothing considered as armor for monks? few questions inside

Boots..gloves.. and cape.. are those considered body armor?

Also... clothing as body armor - is it negates the "unarmoured defence"?

There are two types of clothing.. "monastic clothing" that comes with monk.. and homely clothes. I assume right column of items is for looks but all the left column of gear is armor?

If any piece of equipment mentions "Armor" it's considered armor. For instance, if you get some boots and they're leather boots and you don't see either Light, Medium or Heavy Armor anywhere, it's not armor. I think helmets are also not Armor in any circumstance. If you hover over it and it says you don't have proficiency to use it, it's likely considered armor. Worst case, try it on and if you lose your Wisdom to AC, it's Armor

As far as unarmored defence is concerned, if it requires you to have the light armor, medium armor, or heavy armor proficiencies to avoid penalties it will be considered as armor. Otherwise it is not. Some boots and gloves need the proficiency some don't same goes for helmets.

Any piece of armour, including boots, helmets and gloves, will have the [weight class] Armour somewhere on it's tooltip.

If it doesn't, it's not armour
