Seek Thaniels shadow

I did find him and played once with him, then i said no more play time and I fought his "family", then he screamed "no" and just disappeared and I cant find him again. I still have the quest up to find him but I've looked everywhere. Did I fail the quest even though it doesnt say that or can I still find him again? Halsin doesn't mention anything efter oliver left

Same exact thing. Halsin didn't say anything despite being in my party at the time. Vanished without a trace, quest didn't update, and NPCs are asking me to find him still. There was however a statue behind Thaniel before he disappeared that had plaques which were part of some puzzle so maybe that leads to him. Think I'm gonna mark this one up as being bugged and move on to Baldur's Gate.

I don't see any plaques in the ruined cabin we find him? I might also just save scum this cause I didn't even realise I might have failed the quest

I’m stuck on this as well. I followed him through the portal and did the fight but he’s nowhere to be found. I hope someone has an answer soon

I redid the quest and after the fight a cutscene should start as you win, the second his dome gets down the cutscene started for me

Ah it's bugged then makes sense. Now if they'd just patch it and re-add Halsin to my party :(

Damn if I have to redo the quest I’m gonna be set back so far 😭 wth

I "played" with him when exploring shadows. Then later, when i received a quest to find him, just came with Halsin to him, make a fight and that's all.

Done it before the patch came out.
