Temporarily Hostile & Smythin
In the goblin camp I'm trying to save Smythin from being eaten by spiders but when I shove the goblin I get "temporarily hostile" on a few npc's instead of the dialogue prompts about assault, etc.

Not sure why they changed it, but it makes saving him really difficult. And, if you do manage to exit combat (I had to use invisibility), another goblin will just come up and kick him off the ledge.

Anyone figured out how to save Smythin outside of knocking many goblins off bridge and running invisible?

For me it was bugged. I tried to make it work for an hour with all kinds of methods, distances, potions... etc.

I did manage to save him yesterday. Had a spider familiar summoned which the Goblins were all scared of, so I used it to chase the two guards away from him. Then when I walked over to the bridge where Smythin was standing, the dialogue played out and he thanked me and ran off. No combat needed.

That's very clever. I'll try that on my next play through, thanks

Can confirm that this tactic work. Just chase away the goblin who is about to push Smythin with a spider and a cutscene will happen thanking me. I didn't get to talk to him after because he immediately starts running away. So thank you again for this.

Just saved him by simply throwing an invisibility potion at him.

I just tried this as well, but instead it said it hit for damage and Smythin still ended up getting shoved to his death. :steamsad:
