Copy Game files from another PC and another Steam account
Hello there

I have a poor internet connection, and a friend of me wants to also play the game, and has optic fiber

I saw it is possible on steam to save game files from one PC and import it to another

Is it possible to do so even if the files were downloaded from another Steam account ? (My friend downloads the game on his account, make a save in an external disk that I import to my Steam)

Thanks in advance

Yes, you can import save files from another account. I have downloaded save games for Skyrim before and it worked well. It should work for BG3.

Creating Backup Files
  1. Open your Steam Library
  2. Right click the game's title and select Properties....
  3. From the Installed Files tab select Backup game files
  4. Click Browse... to browse to the folder where you wish to create the backup files
  5. Click Create Backup to begin the backup process.
  6. Once complete, choose Open folder to move or burn copies of the backup files
Important:
We recommend testing the backup discs after their creation to ensure the integrity of the files for future reinstallation.

Restoring from Backup Files
  1. Install Steam and log in to the correct Steam account (see Installing Steam for further instructions)
  2. Launch Steam
  3. Click on Steam in the upper left corner of the Steam application
  4. Select Restore Game Backup...
  5. Browse to the location of the game's backup files
  6. Continue through the Steam windows to install the necessary games.
Important:
If the path to your Steam installation contains special characters, such as C:\Steam安装路径\Steam, the restore process may not complete successfully. If this issue occurs, you may need to re-install Steam to a location without special characters, such as C:\Steam.
