Patch 7 how to equip items for other party members?

okay so this might be a stupid question, but for some reason in the new patch i cant figure out how to equip or see the parties inventory if it isnt Tav ( example, im trying to give Shadowheart a bow/crossbow and i cant get into her inventory where she has a bow, or equip it.) i also can only send items to Tav, whereas the old patches could send everyone their weapons, and easily equip/ see their inventory when i am playing that character. please help its kinda wrecking the fun if nobody but Tav and Lae'zel can use long range weapons

The character has to be selected if you double click the items. Otherwise you can drag it to the slot or click the slot you want an item equiped in and it will show you options.

If you are still on the nautilus you can only mess with your own weapons, in fact your own inventory is the only one you can access.

You can switch Lae'zel between sword and bow (because she already has both), but you cannot give Shadowheart a ranged weapon (specifically a crossbow) to use, until you have left the nautiloid.

You can still steal Lae'zel's half plate by going onto your own inventory and clicking the armour slot, there you can see armour choices, which includes Lae'zel's half plate, if you choose to wear it, you swap armour.
