Are they magical? I mean, if so, they ought to be subject to Dispel Magic when we finally get that spell...
But where does a 'proximity explosive' even come from in Faerun?
Really, do you know so little about DnD and the Forgotten Realms settings?

Stuff like that actually exists in dnd... just magical.

Really, can you do anything besides try to witch hunt things that aren't a problem?
They could try actually getting good at the game but that's probably too much effort.
Actually in this regard as pandariuskarios mentions dispel magic should work on them. Since Glyph of warding is a spell, as are explosive runes, and in this regard since a delayed fireball could be also used as a trap, delayed fireball. (Not that we have the spell since it is level 3 afaik but i might be wrong. My knowledge is mostly 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 so I apologize if i am wrong with 5.0.)
The thing is, proximity explosives, or mines, i would associate more commonly with Eberron instead of FR. But because i am not that well versed in FR i did not really found this so troublesome. Also since Zhents are quite the shadowy organization, they could have used and implemented some gnomish devices not really known and so on. So yes this is not something to be that hung upon.
Yet again, OP is looking for things to be upset at, at this point.
