Paladins aren't restricted to being boy-scouts in 5e.
If anything, I can see a Drow Paladin, upon reaching level 3, be an Oathbreaker Paladin.
There are paladins of Lolth and Eilistraee (for bad and good drow)
now that is interesting... drizzit is frequently mentioned as being favored by loth & a few times is called paladin (though he is ranger) in the books. Yet he is clearly not aligned to loth nor interested in being her minion -- she allows him to do his thing because chaos. Not that the books define the game in any way, but its interesting.
