Invisibility is overpowered.
If you combine Pass without Trace with Invisibility on a skilled Rogue, you basically can 100% safely steal from everyone as long as you don't fail the Sleight of Hand check, and Pass Without Trace seems to occasionally break and give you a +10 Sleight of Hand as well as Stealth. Even the troublemaking Tiefling Smith doesn't cause aggro when you steal from him while invisible. I have done this with scrolls, and with Warlocks and Wizards buffing a high Dexterity character. I suggest playing an Elf or Drow Rogue or Warlock - Warlock with Urchin background would be easiest, or just a Rogue. Warlocks can cast Invisibility, and Shadowheart can Pass without Trace and make it so can pretty much Pickpocket from anyone, or travel unnoticed, especially when the invisibility lasts until you rest or do selective actions, which strangely are not typical of Invisibility, I have taken things without people noticing and remained invisible.

I'm not familiar with those spells because I have not played with them yet. I'll give it a try. So Cleric for Pass without a trace and Warlock for invisibility?

What does the urchin background do?

It improves your Sleight of Hand - Which is what you use for Stealing from people. You could use Warlock or Wizard, or use a Scroll of Invisibility. I guess take your pick there. While in hiding, people's sights are ignored when you're invisible, so they usually can't detect you at all unless you are wearing heavy armor or something. But I was doing fine with a +3 bonus to Sleight of Hand and Stealth.

Invis is fine. My beef and grief with the use of Invis is that Larian needs to make actions like pushing while Invis an instant Invis killer, in other words, no more Invis push gimmick/cheese....you push while Invis and you are automatically revealed.

The pass without trace is a super sexay spell

Technically any action you do, physical or magical is supposed to break Invisibility. Pushing another creature usually takes a great deal of force. As a DM in any of my games, I would break invisibility if someone started pushing someone unless it was for flavor, and not actually doing anything to the NPC. Invisibility isn't fickle or broken. It works as intended, but the duration Larian given it is broken. You can literally wander around without being noticed almost all the time, and see what there is to take, and get automatic Sneak Attacks against most targets. It's one of the best combat starters in the game for a Rogue.

Just wait until Greater Invisibility, Larian is going to break their game. lol - Being able to attack, and cast spells while invisible. Granted, unless you are using Stealth, the enemy will still be able to detect you fairly easily, but you can sneak around and fight completely invisible.

Stealth is overpowered in this game, if you know what you're doing. Most enemies pretty much won't attack you, as long as you aren't in the red and remember to go back into stealth after an attack.

To my understanding, this has been fixed. So disregard my one issue with Invis.

Fighting/combat breaks Invisibility in most cases. And to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Greater Invisibility did not make it into the game or if it makes into the game, it becomes a group Invis. and the same rules would apply to it as it does for regular old Invis. Also, if used properly, Pass without trace gives +10 to stealth and can be more effective than Invisibility in some cases. And yet, we have those asserting that stealth, hide, and sneak, all DnD 5e mechanics, are too powerful. LMAO. These mechanics are important to all classes, especially those sniper classes, rogues, etc. You start down the road of nullifying mechanics, there will be classes that will be either nullified or greatly gimped/hampered to the point of not playing verses another class.

Friend, Greater Invisibility isn't a group invisibility, it's the ability to attack and cast spells without breaking the invisibility. It's a standard 5th Edition spell, and has always been crazy overpowered with characters who can remain hidden, flying, or otherwise have Stealth or distance as a means to remain hidden, as being Invisible doesn't mean you're not detected, it simply means you can't be seen by normal means. Trueseeing and See Invisibility spells still reveal you.

Wait it gives +10 to sleight of hand? In 5e it only gives +10 to stealth check. +10 with current pickpocket system is incredibly broken. Basically you can steal everything and never fail.

It's unconfirmed, but I have had random DC 1's on Sleight of Hand checks while under the effects of Pass Without Trace active. I know that some DC's like stealing Chain Mail, or from certain merchants are DC 16-20 by default. I've seen them suddenly appear as 1's before, and I honestly have not seen a reason for it. It's happened multiple times in my experience. Even characters without Sleight of Hand or Stealth Proficiency. So it may not even be a +10 to Sleight of Hand, it could actually be just an automatic pass. If you combine it with Invisibility, you basically ignore the Passive Perceptions of most, if not all NPC's. Personally, I have stopped playing because I had earned over 50k gold, and had a horde of magical items that I would never use at my Camp on my newest character playing only roughly 8 hours on them.

I don't doubt it. But, I mean, I would love to see a fix for it, but I mean, as is the game is unplayable for me knowing where all the merchants, and named loot are. Just makes me want to play a Monk or maybe a Druid. Something less 'related' to the activities I have been doing in the game. lol Also, I hope we get some less evil allies in the next upgrades. - Just saying, evil is kind of rough to play around, and keep happy. xD

Yeah how dare every merchant have the sheer audacity to not be born as a race that has true sight.
