Defending the Druid Grove

So I killed the Goblin Priestess, and tricked the Drow into attacking the Druid Grove saying I would help. Now I'm back at the Grove, trying to defend the place from being decimated - but the combat has so far been impossible - spiders jumping to the cliff and two-shotting people, goblins being thrown in barrels.

I've targeted the sappers and blown-up the trap barrels in place, but still no luck. Any help/insights is greatly appreciated!

preparation is key, all you need is 3 or 5 oil barrels, place them near the where the ogre appears and firebolt and then mop up the rest

Im not helping but -in case you didn't know- why not wipe the goblins, drow included to start with? Practical and controllable.

Can't help with the siege cause I didnt do it. Good luck :)

You can also use wine barrels and those purple pods from the ship. set up the lower ones and fire arrow them to start the flames. Then toss a couple at the group and it is all over. Of course it helps that members get initiative.

Depends how you want to play it.

Option:
1) (Easy) add 4-5 Barrels makes the fight more or less a one shot thing with only the drow left standing

If you think thats not fun and no challenge
2) Timed attack. You into Round Base mode dip our weapons in fire through or cast grease and blow horn last. Split up team left right to embrace the spiders

if that is still to much cheese
3) split up team left right in fight Mirror image for casters helps utility astarions sneak attack push spider of the cliff best onto other double damage you'll loose some allies you may also use your summons or scrolls you found bought

You should be fine if you still have issues pop back and tell what not working for you...

e.g. if you are otherwelmed by ranged attack you can use darkness spell or arrow and pop in and out of it foes have a hard time hitting you while you can ranged them without exploiting hide and shoot which basicly the same.... only you can do it in plain sight then too...

a bit cheesy but using spells well is okay for me others mite disaprove there

Tricking the drow to attack basically you asking for beating yourself, you can kill her at the Selune Temple with much less enemies, but I guess it's roleplay or failed roleplay leads to this.
