Yeah, it would be nice to have it in game. But gamers hand book is something you have pay, so WOTC most likely does not give it free to Laurean.
That means that it most likely newer gonna be in the game… free at least. You can buy digital players hand book about $39 so it would cost the same in this game also… Not sure if people would be willing to but it anyway.
But becuase it is WOTC property, it is not in the game.
yeah sure. i'll just pay money for basic game information that should be available to the player. A single extra tag on a spell during level up that says "ritual" like it ALREADY DOES when you have the spell available to cast is clearly too complex for the developers to implement.
Play one of the pathfinder games by Owlcat. They give you a detailed list of everything a character will get at every level, before you even choose the class. and they have full descriptions of spells.
The reason this information isn't in the game has nothing to do with WoTC .
Obviously any official rule book is useless, since Larian have tweaked so many things. There should be some kind of popout info or tree or something.
For the person who said just read the PHB, BG3 differes from the PHB some. Also, not everyone playing BG3 owns a PHB.

You actually can’t rely on this because Larian did change and add/remove certain abilities and basic actions. Most obv is there is no Dodge/Ready action in-game; Wildheart Barbarian is basically reskinned Totem Barbarian but with some changes. Monks were also changes tho I think only the Four Elements subclasses got big changes.
So no you can’t say read the 5E book, because there’s no guarantee that it changed or has a different effect in the game due to its own mechanics.
