As for food, I recommend ditching your food bags. Instead of trying to carry food just send all the food you pick up to camp and leave it in your main chest there. When you want to rest you'll be going to camp anyway, and you can pull out just the food you need before you begin your rest. No more weight, less management, and no more hassle than manually selecting which food to use when you rest (which you might need to do anyway, since the game tends to try to use more than necessary if you let it auto-select which food to use).
1. Filter buttons for different categories have to be placed on the main UI interface, not be hidden behind a "Sort by..." button! In this game it needs 2 mouse clicks to get the inventory sorted. Unneccessary bloat.
2. Why are items not categorized correctly? When you sort by category potions don't go in a row as one would expect it - this applies for other items as well.
3. The whole inventory is laggy at all times (fast gaming PC). The code can't be called optimized when it takes next to one second to switch from one character's inventory to another one's.
So yeah, OP is right. Please invest some work in this, Larian. The inventory is just terrible at the moment, because it wastes time.
Your point was clear. I believe that talking about workarounds that players can use to deal with problems now is an important part of any discussion about a game developer possibly fixing those problems in the future. The two are logically conjoined and one does not take away from the other, in my opinion. My intent was only to be helpful - if not to you then to some of the other people who might read the thread - not to irritate you.
Tactical Adventures did came with some beautiful ideas in Solasta like the scavenger guild, swiping all the crap you left behind you in various areas. It takes them few days to do so, then split the profits with the party.
Soooo clever, and meaningful, on top of being conveniant and faster.
