We wouldn't need it if developers and companies could actually optimize their games to actually run great even on newest hardware. Instead we get nothing but frame drops and mediocre performance. If this game actually ran well, I wouldn't have suggested it considering Native resolution is the way to go.
They aren't optimizing BECAUSE OF THIS CRUTCH. Asking for more of it is just a snake eating its own tail.
No. It's the other way around. They added this crutch BECAUSE they haven't been optimizing. Not one game in the last 15 years even before this feature has been introduced has been properly optimized. Not to mention it's an option, if you hate it so much, you don't need to use it. But sadly, these games can barely hit high frames at native resolution due to poor optimization. Which is why DLSS was introduced to give us fake frames to match our monitors refresh rates and etc. Even games 15 years ago on the hardware created during that time ran extremely bad. Rofl. It's only when you go back years later on this current generation of hardware does it actually run well at native because we're brute forcing it. Even this game can't keep a steady 144 fps at native in certain areas.

Games were still not optimized before DLSS even existed, bucko. You think some random dude's opinion on YouTube means you're right? Lol.
Delusional lol.
Games could barely hit 30 fps back in the day. You'd be lucky to get even 60 fps. Most games were capped to 30 cause of consoles back in the day. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. The only good thing about past games is that bugs weren't as apparent as they are now, cause you couldn't just update on the fly. If you're struggling to get 30 fps at 1080p without DLSS then something's clearly wrong on your end. By the sounds of it though, I don't even think you were born before 2010. Games were horribly optimized on the PC back in the day and the sad excuse was because consoles were capped to 30 and 60 fps. The lame excuse they tried to use was "You can't even see past 60" lol. The fact developers are being lazy has nothing to do with DLSS. They were lazy and didn't optimize their games way before DLSS even existed.
Sadly this game drops frames when capped to your monitors refresh rate. Even if uncapped it still drops frames.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a shot.
