Baldur's Gate 3

Statistiche:
Why can't I use half my movement to stand from prone?
In D&D 5e rules, and even in the description of the status in BG3, you should be able to use half of your movement to stand up from the prone position. Instead, if you fall prone your turn effectively ends, not even allowing characters to take actions or bonus actions that don't even require you to be standing.

I do hope that there will be a way to actually stand up in the same turn that you fall prone on full release. Losing the entire movement, action, and bonus action from a condition that should only take half a characters movement to fix is an extremely frustrating mechanic.

My guess... they don't want to create spell casting, attack, and other animations from the prone position. This said, if that is that much of an issue... limit these to standing, but only use 10' of movement to stand so it doesn't come up that often.
I'm inclined to agree with making certain actions need to be done "from standing." I'd actually be generally ok with that, but I think especially since the text of the status says "use half movement to stand up" and I'm staring at a character who has done nothing their turn but slip on grease...

But yeah, I just wish I could "spend movement" to address the status affliction, even if it was given as a requirement to use my action/bonus action.
