Answering the request for adding this or that new companion for companions that were never an option ended with release, finalized with that big druid guy whose name I keep forgetting. The Drow woman was always a companion option, but Larian made a loophole into a feature to allow her to join under unintended circumstances. That's not the same as creating a new companion from a total non-companion.
There is a lot of extra work to turn a non-companion into a companion unless you want one of those blank-slate companions the dead guy will offer who have no story involvement but simply looking like Kagha.
I think they should copy sidekick system from PoE 2. Sidekicks does not have romance option or approval rating but they have a background and personaliy. They share their opinions on some occasions.
In my first playthrough I appealed to her strength and she let the kid go after we agreed to purge the Devil-Horms from the grove! My second playthrough I just let her kill the kid LOL! Kagha is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Boss I LOVE HER!!!
In my first playthrough I protected her, but it wasnt as compelling as siding with Kagha
