1. Dueling - When you are wielding a melee weapon that is not Two-Handed or Versatile in one hand, and no weapon in the other hand, you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls with that weapon, increasing your chance to do heavy damage.
Maybe it has to do with how "Versatile" was implemented? IDK ...
More discussion here.... which seems to point to the issue of being required to use a shield in BG3 to force Phalar Aluve to 1 hand and enable "Dueling".
... which can suck if you respec Asterion to be a 12 Swords Bard. (with no shield proficiency :( )
Note: I got around this by making him 10 Swords Bard / 2 Fighter.

For the moment I did a respec to two handed fighting style with the Dual Wielder feat.
The whole thing left me incredibly and unreasonably rustled, though xD
just PLEASE hold it in one hand, my guy
-"but I don't know how :("
*gives shield*
like this!
-"aaah! :)"
and now droooop the shield
-"I do not understand."
it just feels so stupid xD
