Dialogue priority changed since last patch
I'm pretty sure that you used to be able to choose which party member initiates a scripted cutscene with dialogue.
As an example: Interacting with the Thorm Familiy in act II, i remember the game using the currently selected party member for scripted conversations. I tried using my bard Astarion for the above mentioned encounters, because of his high charisma. For both Gerringothe and Thisobald , when triggering the respective cutscene with Astarion selected, the game automatically switches back to my player character, who is pretty much useless in dialogue.
Am i remembering things right, as in this used to work differently?
Is this now a "feature" or a bug? I can't find a setting related to this either...

Thanks, i missed that in the patchnotes.
Not sure how i feel about this though, doesn't this basically mean that you have to make your player character the charisma party member in every single playthrough? If we can't have other party members be prioritised for dialogue, why would you give them dialogue skills at all? Kinda locks the player char into the charisma classes, right?

Most people agree with you. You'll have to unhook your Tav and move them to a different elevation or a far distance away to continue utilizing other characters for conversation.
