Please give us an option to remove Volo's eye
It's ruining the look of the character, i hate everytime i see my character up close with weird yellow eye, it's just constant regret (and due to changes later in the game i wont spoil)

Later physical changes to your character still has the stupid eye making it seem completely out of place - there are regenerate spells in dnd, remove blindness, heal etc

Why make such bad design choices that just causes players grief in the long wrong when it need not be that way lorewise at all

in dnd we can resurrect people from a pile of bones, but we can't fix a silly eye?

You did chose to take the eye… you could have chosen not to take.
Things have consequences!
It is good, isn`t it?

Hm... was there really a choice? I mean there was no choice not to take it once you lost your eye, was there? And the dialogue to that point... What was it again...?

Something along the lines

A hole instead of Volo's eye would be better?

Not sure if this is real or not, but isn't there a way to change it with the mirror?

No, a nice sized egg would work in it's place.

No. it is a permanent change and even outlasts the Ilithid cosmetics which is very cool.

For reference, here is the dialogue from the game scene where... you get the eye.

I know the Volo surgery is real, I was talking about if the changing of the eye in the magic mirror is real or not. I can test it my side if it's helpful, I have a save with the eye?

I always had the MC say "Plblblblblblbl...":steamhappy:
(I really want the VAs to say that, but it would cause a storm of comments why the MC will speak one chosen dialog and no others.)

Regenerate is 7th level. Player spellcasting goes up to 6th. Removing the Blindness condition doesn't fix disadvantages created by physical alterations.

this is especially what i think is uncool, i was trying not to give spoilers

completely ruins the look. the white in Volos eye is unnaturally white too, so it create a very uncanny effect

i could live with Volo's up to that point, but now it just looks visually awful, to the point i can't choose to accept that evolution

It's quite annoying hearing people say 'oh you made that choice, you just shouldn't have, choices have consequences its a good thing! but re-rolling entire class / stats with Withers is perfectly fine with them x)

The change didn't seem that obvious at first, until you realize several downsides later

I'm asking for a way to remove the eye including the buff it gives of course

The real adventure is facing that regret and acknowledging consequences.

Try fiddling about with your eyes in the magic mirror might help, but that might of been a bug when it apparently work?
zynexis Feb 21, 2024 @ 3:37pm
no the mirror does not work for Volo's eye

There is a 'bug' with the transformation with black eyes, which the cinematic shows black eyes, but afterwards they change back. If you disable heterochromia it reverts to black eyes

Volo's eye never changes, someone said there was a bug that could cause the eye to disappear, but so far no luck

yes, we can try mod it or change it's appearance, but would be great to undo some of these changes that just takes away from the enjoyment

It's a long game, we can't foresee all the issues ahead of time, like the black eye evolution + volo's eye

Not sure if it works after a bunch of hotfixes but you could die in a way that makes character's body unavaliable and then get a resurrection. However, it deletes most of the permanent buffs as well.
JayPAC Feb 23, 2024 @ 12:53pm
Why would you want to remove one of the best permanent bonuses in the game? They even made you not lose the buff after death now. It's awesome.

No, it doesn't. I've tried changing the class as well, doesn't help either. In the mirror, switching to heterochromia, changing the color also does nothing.
