PS5 Couch/Splitscreen coop

It's September after all. After less than a month of playing on PC, I can finally play couch coop on the big screen.

The game is running fine but I have some doubts. Perhaps some of you have played previous Larian Studios games like Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2, both of these games also had split screen options, however, it worked a little differently. Namely, in those games during coop there was only one screen. It was only when the players split up over a greater distance that there was a split screen. It was a superior solution for both exploration and combat. Two screens tire me all the time and I would like to enjoy the game in this mode all the time.

Therefore, I was looking for information on this subject but I did not find anything, does anyone of you have information on this subject or are the Larians going to add such an option to coop?

this and the drop in drop out for players joining in your co-op, they had ready and working, why not copy-paste and reuse perfectly working systems just baffles me
