Respec for Oathbreaker (just respec without changing class)

Wanted to do a respec for my Oathbreaker Paladin, just to change some stats around, and found out this is not possible. Apparently to prevent easily "fixing" your broken oath or other exploits.
But I don't even want to do that. I don't want to change class at all, just my ability scores.
When I heard it was so easy to experiment and respec in this game, I thought this would be an option. But now I am not allowed to do so because of some arbitrary limitations just because I was playing how I want to.

Would be great if you could just respec your current class / subclass, specifically for Oathbreaker here. Otherwise the "intended" way right now is to redo the oath (1000 gold), then respec (100 gold), then somehow break my oath again - losing out on time, finding an opportunity to do so, and having to do more long rests... very convoluted, when I never wanted to get out of the broken oath in the first place.

For now there is only trying to find cheats or mods to do something so simple :/

Yeah, I just hit this problem. It needs to be fixed. I just want to change stats feats, spells and multiclass, not remove Oathbreaker.

Adding to this. I just hit this issue and have to pay 1000 gold and then reclaim and break the oath again just to change my first feat? That's incredibly lame.

Another affected player here. Not only is Pala the popular choice, but most people experiment with different playthroughs/companions anyway, so this frustration must be highly prevalent. Fixing crashes should be prioritised, though.

I broke my oath during act 2 by letting innocents die when I probably could have prevented it with dialogue options after multiple attempts in act 1

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, please please please. I don't want a cheap way to reset Oathbreaker, I just want to respec in general without changing out of Oathbreaker. This should be changed. Ideally it should respec everything except level 1 of Paladin and maintain my Oathbreaker status.

Are there any mods that make this possible?

Fully agree. I didn't realize I wasn't going to get heavy armor for my sorcadin, without picking paladin at lvl 1. When I did figure this out, I had already broken my oath. I want to stay and oath breaker, I just want to switch my multicass build to start with paladin at lvl 1, and then I'll add my sorc levels. I'm too far into the game to start fresh, and can't see any easy way to go about breaking my oath again if I do spend all that gold to redo my build 😕

I have the same problem. I intentionally broke my Oath of Vengeance because i wanted to be Oathbreaker/Warlock when i let the hag get away.
So the way this should be fixed is probably that you should be able to respecc normally, except that you can’t select any of the 3 normal Oaths, and are automatically an Oathbreaker if at any point you go into Paladin.
Otherwise this is a really annoying mechanic.
Btw until fixed, does anyone know a Mod that fixes this mabe?

This just seems lazy on larians part, honestly just allow us to respec but force us to take the first level as an oathbreaker paladin. problem solved.

We ever getting this fixed? sentinel blows ass because of my invisbillity cloak bug ontop of this lol (dark urge cloak invisibillity removes your oppurtunity attacks now.)
