Allow "Throw" weapons in ranged slot
I really want to use Javelins instead of bows for cool effects. But I only want to use them as a ranged option. But I can't because it's a "melee" weapon as well.

Limit it so I can't use it in melee, I don't care.

Granted, I don't really see the point of restricting the ranged and melee slots either...

Yeah, this is problem for me too. I've picked up a Legendary weapon (Nyrula), which is very good when thrown. But it's not as good as my existing melee weapon (by a large margin).

Without being able to place it in the "Ranged" slot, it's effectively useless.

If it have it in my inventory and "Throw" it from there, then it automatically becomes equipped as my primary melee weapon, stopping me from using my actual (better) melee weapon.

What *should* happen, is that thrown weapons are allowed in the Ranged slot. For thrown weapons like the Nyrula which "automatically come back" they should keep in whichever slot the player placed them in.

So, for my situation I'd place it in the "Ranged" slot. And it would be automatically used as the "Ranged" weapon, and keep in the "Ranged" slot thus not messing up my actual (better) melee weapon.

I agree with this 100%.
