Can't break the breakable 'cracked support beam'

Title says all. The cracked support beam in the same room as Lump can't be cracked in my game. Attacking it doesn't break it and the floor above doesn't crumble. Tried reloading the save, and exiting and restarting the whole game, doesn't work.

Same. And in addition to it, attacking that beam immediatelly starts the fight.

Same for me... I assume its supposed to drop the roof and do damage before the fight, but its not doing anything :(
