Checking/perception button/option
I noticed you have to get in a specific range in order to see or perceive traps or gadgets that can be interacted with. What about an option or a button rather, where you can get a frontal cone AoE "Search" or "Perception check" with range specific to your active modifiers.

There are times where my characters are simply too slow to perceive a trap due to being required to be within a X amount of range. That way, when I open a door to a room I feel is trapped, I can click the button and select the frontal cone perception button. it would function as the "Cleave" weapon ability, but a much larger frontal cone to "Check" for things without needing to move too close. Plus it just makes sense for DnD.. I don't want to walk in this room if I feel as though there might be a trap right at the door way. I would like to peer in a room's entry way before crossing.

I think the terms you are looking for are passive perception and active perception? As far as I remember DnD rules those have been a thing for some time now.
I think currently the game only has what is known as passive perception(?) and yes, I too think it would be nice to have possibility to actively search for traps and secrets

Exactly. I wasn't too sure the terms but I imagine the game would benefit from this mechanic for DnD advocates.
