Max Zoom Out/In

Is there any chance that zoom will get better? I need to zoom out more than game allowes, DOS 1/2 also suffered from pure zooming.

Sometimes bugs occur during cutscenes that increase the zoom distance & it gives an overall better perspective of the world; so it's definitely a limitation that's forced unto the player. Zooming out more during a battle helps with the analysis of the battlefield & the player can make quicker decisions.

So, someone managed to increase the zoom distance, either by bug or by mod, and posted a video of it to YT. It got reposted here, and a Larian dev commented on it saying they were intrigued but that their main concern was gpu performance because increasing zoom distance increases the number of assets on the screen at once.

I replied that they should make it an option with a big warning sticker that it could seriously impact performance fir those of us with enthusiast grade rigs.

There's been no further follow up or communication on the topic since.

Like options were never invented ? this is why you have them so you dont limit everyone just cos some people have an older pc..

That bug was the best one in EA wish i could get it back every single time... makes the camera actually not that bad.
